The Keystone Assault starts the 2013 season off with a WIN over the Washington Prodigy!
The Keystone Assault started out the season with a 12-7 win over the Washington Prodigy. It was a hard fought defensive battle with the first score not coming until the second half. The first score of the game was a rushing touchdown by #34 Tuffy Howard. The Keystone Assault defense proved themselves holding the Prodigy to one score, late in the fourth quarter. The Assault was able to rack up 6 sacks, two interceptions and 13 tackles for a loss against the IWFL’s newest DC team. The Assault’s second score came early in the fourth quarter with another rushing touchdown by #32 Heidi Johnson. Rachel Fischer was 6 for 16 with three of the complete passes being caught by #2 Mary Lauchle for a total of 31 yards. This week the Assault open at home against the Baltimore Nighthawks, kick off is at 5 p.m. at East Pennsboro High School, 425 Shady Lane, Enola, PA in an attempt to start the season off 2-0.

KEYSTONE ASSAULT JOINS IWFL

Round Rock, Texas –The IWFL is pleased to announce it has awarded a new team membership to the Keystone Assault. The Assault will play a full schedule in 2013 featuring games against IWFL mid Atlantic and North East division teams. The Keystone Assault was founded in 2008 by a group of dedicated players and staff with the goal to establish and operate a successful and sustainable women’s football team. The first four seasons of team operation have seen the program grow, earning a division title and playoff berth in their former league.

JCC Girls Night Out -- 1/12/13
The Keystone Assault are proud to be part of the JCC Girls Night Out event this coming Saturday 1/12. The event will be hosted at Sports City on Linglestown Road. This will be the 2nd year the team participating in showing young girls the fun in sports/football. The event begins at 7pm. Looking forward to spending a great evening with great girls!!
